“Congratulations” to Islam Karimov dedicated to his birthday
Numerous dry, unfeeling and insincere birthday greetings are sent to Islam Karimov, who celebrated his 76th birthday on 30 January 2014.
Being the oldest president of the former Soviet Union, Islam Karimov has been heading the most populous country in the Central Asia for twenty-five years. A supporter of communist principles, Karimov has concentrated unlimited power in his hands, having completely subjugated dissent and freedom of speech and having turned the country into a police state.
Ruling the country following the “one-hundred-arrested-better than-one-thousand-killed” principle, he has become one of the most brutal dictators of our time, who cannot be removed from the post by legal means. Over the past twenty years, Islam Karimov has imposed and continues imposing the global community allegedly existing threats to international security.
During one of his public speeches in 2013, Islam Karimov stated: “In current difficult circumstances, the international community is particularly concerned with the risk of nuclear proliferation and weapons of mass destruction, growing confrontation, political and religious radicalism and extremism, ongoing conflicts in the immediate vicinity of our borders, first of all, increasing tensions due to the upcoming withdrawal of ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) troops from Afghanistan before and after 2014.”
In fact, panic fear of his violent removal from office has pushed Karimov to focus his main strengths to ensure retaining of his power as long as possible.
No matter how long he will rule the country, in the memory of the Uzbek people Karimov will remain as a bloodthirsty tyrant capable of fighting only his nation, as the one, who destroyed the progressive population of the country, intelligentsia, the clergy, having plunged the country into the abyss of ignorance and moral decay of the society. Karimov will remain in our memories as the one, who unrestrainedly hates the Uzbek people.
In anticipation of the birthday of Islam Karimov, he is congratulated not only by heads of countries and representatives of diplomatic missions. Also a progressive part of young people express their opinions in connection to this date, who do not want to accept tough anti-democratic regimes on the planet. One of such appeals is the statement made by the American vocal and instrumental band “Foreign Accent” to world radio stations, who presented their video titled «Move Karimov» (www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvOk5MFOnn0 SaveFrom.net). Members of “Foreign Accent” wish Karimov health and longevity, and hope that very much that he will heed the advice of singing youth to leave alone Uzbekistan and to do useful work for the benefit of people.
“Fiery Hearts Club” international human rights organization joins numerous birthday greetings to the head of Uzbekistan, and on behalf of members of the organization as well as numerous supporters heartily and sincerely congratulates Islam Karimov with his 76-year anniversary.
We would not wish anyone so much human hatred and nationwide contempt as Islam Karimov receives on his birthday.
At the end of February, during the official visit of Islam Karimov to the Czech Republic, Fiery Hearts Club international human rights organization will ‘mark’ the president’s birthday with our partners in Prague by organizing a public protest.
By this public action, we demand from President Karimov to release all convicted political prisoners languishing in the country’s prisons, provide conditions for smooth operation of non-governmental organizations in the country, secure freedom of speech, stop use of tortures against detainees and prisoners, conduct an international investigation into the Andizhan 2005 events and punish those responsible for the mass executions of civilians.
Along with this, the protest action will be devoted to the anniversary of the assassination attempt against famous Uzbek cleric Obidkhon kori Nazarov, who was critically wounded in the head on 22 February, 2012 in the Swedish town of Stromsund.
In honor of the memory of numerous victims of totalitarian regimes, Head of “Fiery Hearts Club” international human rights organization has suggested an initiative to the international community to declare 30 January as the International Day of Dictator.
