Dear readers! Unfortunately, “Jarayon”website staff is forced to take vacation

Over the last two months, our team, people not in Europeansafe and civilizedcountries, but those who live and work in most authoritarian and dictatorial countries of Central Asiawriting, making and translating materialsat their own risk for “Jarayon” website without any payment due.

Though some members of our team had to work on weekends and public holidays, performing their work in good faith and at their own expenses, we still could not get a proper response from our donors to the question why the work of these people has not been paid for 60 days.

Mutabar Tadjibayeva, the head of “Fiery Hearts Club” International Human Rights Organization and the founder of “Jarayon” website, has repeatedly appealed to our donors with the request to pay for the work of the people, but there has been no response so far.

The work of “Jarayon” website was particularly fruitful during the last two years and we do not hide the fact that authoritative international organizations and leading media outlets refer to our materials in their reports and that thanks to our materials many political prisoners, human rights activists and journalists as well as their family members in Uzbekistan and neighboring countries, who appeared to be under pressure from local authorities, could get legal assistance and financial support.

Today, our editorial staff is simply compelled to suspend our work and take a “forced vacation”.

We very much hope that soon our donors will be able to solve this problem, and our website will resume its work again.

Sincerely,

Jarayon staff
