Financial crisis in”Ezgulik”: Public call to help!

Human Rights Society of Uzbekistan “Ezgulik” was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan March 19, 2003 with the support of the United States Assistant Secretary of State for Human Rights Lorne Kröner.
Over 13 years of activity, which has 76 branches about the country, the Society “Ezgulik” issued more than a thousand press releases and more of their permanent and more than 20 analytical reports relating to human rights. Unlike other non-governmental organizations of our country, the organization that operates under fierce pressure to date in connection with the financial crisis is at the termination of their activities.
Society Relations with regional, city and district offices almost prekrscheny, is only the office of the central board of the company with the financial assistance of some persons. It is not possible to hold the meeting of the Board Central heating, regional branches of conferences, payment and re-adjustment of the official website and the hosting society.
Since 2010 Applications of our society to donors such as the US National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the Open Society Institute (Coros), International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights have been rejected.
Whereas, the Human Rights Society of Uzbekistan “Ezgulik” except that was at one time the only independent organization which monitors human rights issues in the country was still a legal organization really reflects the current situation.
The fact that our society has fallen into such a situation there is a contribution of some commissioners working together with international organizations in Central Asia, particularly Uzbekistan.
This Declaration of Human Rights Society of Uzbekistan “Ezgulik” referring to the representation of public, international organizations and diplomatic corps, calling on the financial assistance of the public and the signing of the grant contracts for existing projects. Since the current state of a single structural organization is in poor condition and in need of help. Help save the “Ezgulik”!
