Mirsobir Khamidkariev “voluntarily” rejected his lawyer + (video)

According to relatives of Uzbek refugee Mirsobir Khamidkariev, who was kidnapped in the center of Moscow in early June 2014, Uzbek interrogators forced him to refuse services of the lawyer they hired for him.

Marguba Khamidkarieva, the mother of Uzbek businessman Mirsobir Khamidkariev, told “Jarayon” in mid-August 2014 that her son, who is currently under investigations in Tashkent, refused services of the lawyer his family hired to protect him.

The Uzbek authorities have extended the imprisonment term for journalist Yusuf Ruzimurodov

The Uzbek authorities have extended the jail term for convicted journalist Yusuf Ruzimurodov for three years more.

Uzbek oppositionist Dilorom Iskhakova told “Jarayon” about that.

According to her, in May 2014 54-year-old Uzbek journalist Yusuf Ruzimurodov was supposed to be released, but at the end of his prison term, the administration of colony UA 64/3 located in Tavaksai district of Tashkent province, charged him with “violation of the internal prison rules”.

The Uzbek authorities have not transferred activist Bobomurod Razzokov from prison to colony again

According to the Criminal Executive Code and the Uzbek Senate’s“Amnesty” Decree, Bobomurod Razzokov, the chairman of the Bukhara regional branch of ‘Ezgulik’Uzbek Human Rights Society,an inmate of Prison 64/3 in Tavaksai district of Tashkent province, should have been transferred from prison to colony on 12 July, 2014.

The human rights activist, who has served a quarter of his punishmentterm, had had the fully right to it; moreover, “Amnesty” Decree does not stipulate anything to prevent his transfer to colony.

Uzbek public prosecution sue Mutabar Tadjibayeva

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Margilan sues Mutabar Tadjibayeva, the head of “Fiery Hearts Club” International Human Rights Organization, and demands depriving the Uzbek human rights activist of the residence permit.

A.Yu.Mavlonov, a prosecutor from Margilan, brought a lawsuit to Margilan interdistrict civil court against Mutabar Tadjibayeva claiming that the head of “Fiery Hearts Club” International Human Rights Organization is not eligible for Uzbek residence registration.

Amnesty International expressed concerns about Murad Zhurayev’s health status

International Human Rights Organisation Amnesty International expressed concerns about the health status of former Uzbek MP Murad Zhuraev, who was convicted for political reasons in Uzbekistan.

In the July 21 statement, International Human Rights Organization Amnesty International expressed deep concerns about the fate of political prisoner Murad Zhurayev.

In particular, the Amnesty International’s statement said that on July 14-15, 2014 Kholbika Zhurayeva,Murad Zhurayev’s spouse, visited him in Prison # 64/6 located in the town of Chirchiq, Tashkent province. Later on she informed human rights activists that her husband urgently needs medical care.

According to “Memorial” Human Rights Center, Muslim refugee Ablakhat Itakhunov, wanted in Uzbekistan on “Islamic extremism” charges, has been kept in an investigation cell in Bishkek for more than 7 months waiting for a decision.

According to “Memorial” Human Rights Center based in Moscow, 42-year-old Russian citizen Ablakhat Itakhunov was detained by the Kyrgyzstan National Security Committee on November 28, 2013 in the town of Kara-Balta as he was internationallywanted. Since then, he has been in custody, and the period of his detention has been repeatedly extended.

Mutabar Tadjibayeva conducted a protest action in Vienna

A protest action will be held on July 4 in the Austrian capital Vienna in the memory of all victims of torture and political repression in Uzbekistan. The event was organized by Mutabar Tadjibayeva, the head of “Fiery Hearts Club” International Human Rights Organization.

The event titled “Who is to blame? Who is next” will be conducted in the framework of the OSCE Conference on Freedom of Expression in Vienna.

Recently Eleanora Isayeva, the wife of Uzbek refugee Mirsobir Khamidkariev, called human rights activist Mutabar Tadjibayeva, the head of “Fiery Hearts Club” International Human Rights Organization, andsaid that her husband is an investigative ward in Tashkent prison.
